Plastic Bag Sculptures
There has been stone age, bronze age, terracotta age… now, we are living through the plastic age. These are trash-bag plastic sculptures-a series of human images with missing body parts created by Pakistani artist, Khalil Chishtee. Why plastic bags??? It is the right matter form for the artist to express his feelings about the world and the situations around him. It is a really creative way to convert plastic bags into art wracked with emotion.
”Plastic, whatever shape and colour we give it, it will remain plastic. Similarly, we may change our religion and nationality, give them a new name, but we shall remain the same human beings that we are. And it is important to remain that way.”
